During the indiscriminate devastation of the Covid pandemic, a new virus started spreading, that did discriminate. As ignorance and disinformation spread so to did the rise in Asian hate crimes. Citi wanted to make a bold statement that they stood up against Asian hate and was an ally to Asian Americans who had become fearful after seeing so many surveillance videos of these brutal attacks.
